We are lucky enough to have fantastic diving all year round. The resort is situated as close to the Komodo National park as you can get. This means we get can get into the park before any other of the day trip boats. Our location also means that we are able to do day trips to some of the Southern sites in the park, that many day trip boats cannot get to
On our day trips here we try to give you guys a little bit of everything. The diving here ranges from the giants to the tiny, and there is something to please every type of diver. In one day we will visit different types of sites, so that you can see the true diversity the Komodo National Park has to offer.
We start the day fairly early. We aim to be in the Komodo National Park and diving before other day trip boats from Labuan Bajo. There is a light breakfast served at the resort - but don't fill up there. Once you board our dive boat we will serve you a delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, freshly baked bread and fresh fruit. Of course, we also have tea, coffee and water on the boats as well.
As you eat breakfast enjoy the stunning scenery of the Komodo National Park that will truly take your breath away. Just before the first dive our experienced, friendly and professional dive crew will get everyone together and give an informative and thorough dive briefing. They will provide you will all the information you need about currents, marine life and safety procedures. Then your group's guide will discuss more personal preferences with you separately. Whether you prefer macro or mantas, just let our eagle-eyed guides know what you'd like to see. Our groups are always kept small and we will never have more than 4 divers in a group.
The whole day is then spent in the park. Lunch is serviced buffet style after the second dive. If you have any dietary requirements do not hesitate to let us know. We can organise delicious vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food.
You then arrive back at the resort in time for a tasty snack, a well earned cold drink and the beautiful sunset.
Not only is one of the owners of Scuba Junkie Komodo a fully trained Scuba Pro service technician, but many of our dive crew are trained in servicing dive equipment. All our dive equipment is less than two years old, and we run maintenance on it all regularly.
Wetsuits available to rent are 3mm full length neoprene.
Our fins are all open heel and we also provide boots for use with these. These are the best fins to use in the conditions that we experience in the Komodo National Park.
All tanks are well within their hydrostatic test dates, they are 12 litre aluminium. If you require a 15 litre tank please enquire when you send your booking enquiry.
